International Markets Coordinator

Emma Peters is the International Markets Coordinator at the Illinois Soybean Association. Peters joined the team in January 2024 focusing on supportive efforts in developing international soybean markets with a specific focus on the relationships with our partners in animal agriculture such as USMEF and USAPEEC. She serves as the team’s communications touchpoint and works to engage with both sides of the industry with outreach to the farmer and buyer.

Emma is a graduate of the University of Illinois with a degree in Agricultural and Consumer Economics: Policy, International Trade & Development with a minor in Animal Science and is a graduate of Lincoln Land Community College. Throughout her collegiate career, she was a member of both colleges’ livestock judging teams. She is originally from Ohio where she grew up on her family’s sheep and row crop operation and continues to work alongside her father and grandfather. She now resides in Champaign, IL where she enjoys traveling the country judging and showing in livestock shows in her spare time.
