Director

Emily Lovelady is a third-generation farmer who farms in Perry, Franklin, Jefferson, and Marion counties, where she grows corn, soybeans, wheat, and cover crops. As a passionate advocate for agriculture, Emily has been deeply involved in farming from a young age, having always felt connected to the land and knew early on that farming was her chosen path.

In addition to her work on the farm, Emily serves as a director for the Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) representing District 17, which includes Jackson, Jefferson, Perry, Randolph, and Washington counties. She is also a seed dealer and brings a unique perspective to the checkoff and membership boards, working closely with farmers to address their needs and advance the soybean industry.

Emily is driven by a love for the agricultural community, particularly the strong sense of camaraderie and support among farmers. Her role as a seed dealer allows her to represent a wide range of farms, and she is committed to advocating for the continued growth and success of the soybean industry.

Outside of farming, Emily enjoys spending time with her two daughters, aged 14 and 10, and working with her family’s beef cattle operation. She looks forward to the opportunities and challenges ahead, including helping farmers in her district thrive in the years to come.
