Elliott Uphoff raises corn and soybeans as a fifth-generation farmer near Shelbyville Illinois, with his wife, Hailey. He is the director of district 10 for the Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) and sits on the ISA Government Relations Committee. He is a seed salesman, operates a small trucking company, and holds a bachelor’s degree in plant and soil sciences from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Uphoff is also the Chairman of the Shelby County Farm Bureau Young Leaders program and is a basketball official. Hailey and Elliot have two daughters, Madeline and Margot.
