Hosting International groups on our farm is centered around a discussion, rather than a presentation. The time spent on farms with a group can be invaluable, if well done, in sharing the goals and expectations of each side with the end goal of increasing sales.

Among the Illinois Soybean Association’s (ISA) Market Development projects and sponsorships, arguably one of the most impactful is the Soy Excellence Center (SEC) programing around the world.

As the summer growing season began to wind down in mid-August, another season was just getting started for the Illinois Soybean Association (ISA). The period between mid-August and early September, within ISA, is better known as “trade visit season.”

Out of some 683 million bushels of soybeans Illinois farmers produce, 60 percent are exported around the world. Working on behalf of 43,000 farmers, the Illinois Soybean Association Market Development Committee is committed to improving trade relations with importers to move the needle forward and share the stories of those who produce the food we eat.

To close out Fiscal Year 2024, Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) Market Development Committee members and staff attended Soy Connext in San Francisco, California.
