Illinois Soybean Growers
About Illinois Soybean Growers
Illinois Soybean Growers (ISG) is an organization governed by a board of 24 elected soy-producing farmers across Illinois.
Illinois Soybean Growers is a voluntarily funded membership organization – NOT CHECKOFF FUNDED.
ISG works on behalf of soy producers to assure sound policy and regulatory decisions are made in Illinois and Washington, D.C. We advocate for pro-farmer, pro-agriculture policies through communication with our stakeholders, working with allied organizations and lobbying policymakers and agency administrations. ISG’s primary focus is to promote and support soy industry priorities that protect Illinois soy producers’ interests and freedom to operate their businesses.
We work on policy at the state and national levels impacting soybean growers, advocating on many issues, including expanding trade and foreign market access, technology and broadband access, sustainability initiatives, crop protection, conservation concerns and biofuels. As often as ISG works with policymakers, we also work closely with regulatory agencies to emphasize and educate regulators on the importance of sensible regulatory decisions to ensure access to important crop protection tools – not new red tape that hampers your profitability.
